City of Terre Haute Granting Partner

The particular expertise gained as a granting body makes this a logical fit, and helps the city of Terre Haute expedite the process using a state-certified process to distribute local funds to area arts organizations.

Calendar Clearinghouse

Through several activities, including a near-daily updated website calendar, the magazine, and a weekly email blast, Arts Illiana coordinates a cultural calendar for arts organizations and potential patrons that serves as a one-stop shop for all interested in finding information, times, and dates. The email communication, ArtsVine, reaches the inboxes of people throughout the Wabash Valley on a weekly basis.

Including happenings such as Arts Day at the Statehouse, regular contact with legislators and elected officials, Arts Illiana provides leadership that actively brings the arts into the conversation of economic and community development. We serve as the common thread among cultural entities that promote and champion the arts through all private and public entities.

Public Arts Programming

Arts Illiana leads and collaborates with a multitude of organizations and artists to bring quality events and programming to the region. Events like ArtsFest, World Fest, and the 2013: Year of the River, appeal to a wide range of the community. These activities position the arts to raise the quality of life in the Wabash Valley

Education Initiative

Arts Illiana is looking forward to this multifaceted approach that addresses serious cuts in educational and arts opportunities for children. A long-term goal for this initiative is to better develop creative and critical thinking in area youth to advance their cognitive and educational capacity.
The following are some of the activities included:

Arts Education Grants & Scholarships – This new concept, which is seeking implementation in the coming year, will offer opportunities for arts educators to achieve creative and engaging student projects.
